The system constantly monitors the dynamic status of the vehicle and then automatically calls on the engine management and brake system to intervene if the truck threatens to tip over or skid. The ESP for trucks with 4x2, 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4 axle variants is available in the MAN TGS WW.

Compensatory braking with ESP prevents articulated vehicles from overturning or veering off course (jackknifing).
The distance to the vehicle in front is often misjudged. The adaptive cruise control (ACC) automatically adapts the distance to the vehicle travelling in front according to the preset settings, thereby significantly reducing the risk of rear-end collisions.
The lane guard system (LGS) is a camera-based driver assistance system, which notifies drivers when the vehicle inadvertently crosses the lane marking, prompting them to correct the road position.
Freeform reflectors and H7 bulbs with a particularly long service life ensure that the road in front is brightly lit. The show-stopper: Fog lights and additional headlights are integrated into one enclosure. The static cornering light, which switches on automatically whenever the driver indicates while the vehicle is travelling at up to 30 km/h, is a new addition. The daytime running light, the manoeuvring light on the passenger door and the LED sidelight/parking light further improve vehicle safety.
A correctly fitted seat belt is always essential for ensuring passenger safety in commercial vehicles. This is why the TGS WW has an audible seat belt alarm to remind the driver to fasten their seat belt if they have forgotten to do so before starting to drive. If the vehicle is travelling at speeds over 15 km/h, a beeping sound alerts the driver to the fact that their seat belt is unfastened. This sound beeps for two minutes. The beep does not sound at speeds below 15 km/h or when reversing to allow drivers to execute manoeuvres freely without wearing their seat belt.
