Anyone who wants to get ahead in distribution transport needs a drive that saves fuel while maintaining a high output. The high-torque Euro 3 MAN Common Rail engines impress with their optimum torque curve, low consumption and long maintenance intervals. The new MAN TGM in the 12- to 26-ton weight class impresses on any terrain. And with Euro 3, the series combines a high payload, thanks to its consistent lightweight design, and a large volume with maximum driving comfort.

Tried-and-tested technology for ultimate reliability.

MAN has incorporated its entire engineering expertise into the development of the Euro 3 engine to satisfy this demanding standard. MAN has already successfully been using the key Common Rail, exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR). These fully developed technologies were combined and optimally tuned to one another for Euro 3. The result: Euro 3 versions of MAN engines are among the most consumption-efficient units in the competitive market.

This versatile MAN TGM also has numerous motorization variants. Driven by the efficient D08 series MAN Common Rail diesel engines in Euro 3, motorization variants between 240 and 330 HP are available. The powerful engines with a 6.9-litre displacement hold their strength during start-up in short-haul and distribution transport and are extremely flexible on longer journeys. For even greater economy, the TGM can also be equipped with the twelve-speed MAN TipMatic® semi-automatic gearbox.

With automatic or manual operation by means of the touch-action lever on the steering wheel, the driver is not distracted and can fully concentrate on the road. When the engine brake is actuated, the gearbox selects the most appropriate gear automatically to provide full braking power. Thanks to the sophisticated gear shifting concept, the MAN TipMatic® is also extremely economical, as the gearbox reduces fuel consumption and prevents damage to the powertrain. A manual gearbox with nine gears is available as standard.


Stable chassis

Are you looking for maximum driving comfort and load protection? The optional full air suspension with ECAS electronic control system makes this possible. The level of the chassis can be lowered by 90 mm and raised by 190 mm in order to adjust the frame height precisely.

Maximum stability with a minimum weight

The frame concept with an even top edge simplifies the attachment of customized superstructures considerably – without having to compromise corrosion protection by drilling holes. The free space on the frame and the KSM interface for external data exchange also give the frame an ideal body-mounting capability. Specific frame add-ons for numerous superstructures are available ex works.

Whatever the superstructure, the handling of the MAN distribution trucks is excellent. This is facilitated by the low-friction and low-noise hypoid axles, as well as the sophisticated chassis. In addition to the tried-and-tested parabolic leaf springs, the air suspension with ECAS electronic control delivers a high level of driving comfort and stability. The level can also be adjusted to different loading ramp heights, for example, by means of a manual control unit.
