Celebrating like champions – with the MAN convertible

Never before in the history of the German Bundesliga has a club secured the title as early as FC Bayern Munich. The German record holder’s team fittingly celebrated its triumph on a cruise through Munich with the MAN convertible.

FC Bayern Munich celebrations on MAN convertible truck

“Super Bayern, super Bayern, hey hey,” resounds from the MAN convertible truck. FC Bayern Munich is celebrating its 24th German championship title, which is also a very special one for the club: the German soccer champion has never before been decided so early in the Bundeliga season. The pros fittingly celebrated the title victory on the last match day of the 2013/2014 season. In a triumphal procession through downtown Munich, the team showed off the shield to their fans – and really let loose on the MAN champion truck. “The team has truly earned these celebrations after such a great and successful season. I am all the more pleased that we have been able to get this procession off the ground with our partner,” enthused Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Executive Board Chairman of FC Bayern München AG.

Party-proof convertible truck

The specially made MAN convertible truck has been designed to be “party-proof” – the truck has an extra platform with railings especially to provide the players, coaches, and officials with enough room to party. And it comes with a bar and a DJ stand of course. The convertible model is so special because it gives the fans a perfect view of all their stars and allows them to better celebrate with them.

MAN employees celebrate with the stars

As was the case with the treble celebrations back in 2013, the triumphal procession set off from outside the MAN Corporate Center on Munich’s Ungererstraße. As an official partner of FC Bayern Munich, MAN came up with a special highlight: 400 employees formed an MAN fan club to loudly cheer on the stars. They all agreed that it was great to be able to see the players up close and celebrate with them!

For some of the fans, the dream of being along for the ride came true. MAN gave away tickets to ride in one of the procession vehicles. “I still can’t believe that I'm here,” shouted Sandra Scherer. This gave the fans the chance to be in on the action and celebrate with the crowds of people on Munich’s Leopoldstraße.
