MAN Nutzfahrzeuge receives major order for 350 trucks

The Limburg-based H. Essers Group recently placed a large order for no fewer than 350 vehicles with MAN, thus confirming its confidence in the German engineering company with whom the group has collaborated for more than 15 years. Noël Essers, Managing Director, gave the following reasons for the decision: “Both their reliable product and their excellent service led us to opt for MAN once again, reaffirming our long relationship.” The 350 vehicles will be delivered during the course of 2010 and 2011, and will be deployed throughout Europe. The order includes TGM, TGS and TGX trucks. Almost Essers’ entire fleet – a total of more than 1000 trucks – is made up of MAN vehicles. The H. Essers Group, founded in 1928 by Henri Essers, is currently one of Europe’s biggest players in the logistics and transport industry. The family business employs around 2,250 staff members, spread over 26 branches in 12 European countries. The company provides tailor-made logistics solutions to sectors such as the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, as well as transporting high value goods and freight with an increased transport risk.
