MAN ServiceQualityAward 2011 – the winners emerge

From 12th to 13th October 2011 MAN Truck & Bus narrowed down the final field of contestants to find the winners of the international "MAN ServiceQualityAward 2011". Service outlets from Austria, Germany and Slovakia took the three top places.

The winners of the MAN ServiceQualityAward 2011:

  • 1st place: Verkaufs- und Serviceniederlassung Innsbruck, Austria
  • 2nd place: Ludwig Südbeck Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH, Germany
  • 3rd place: MAN – Uzitkove Vozidla – Slovakia, s.r.o., Slowakei

In the course of the four rounds of the competition held since March 2011 the more than 400 truck service outlets from Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States that had entered were whittled down to the top three in the finals. The 20 teams that had qualified for the final round came to Munich to pit themselves against each other from 12th to 13th October 2011. The finalists had to complete seven rounds of tests. These included theoretical tests, for example on MAN genuine spare parts, warranty and purchased guarantees, and practical tests on trucks and buses such as troubleshooting on trucks with built-in faults, practical tasks on brakes and gearboxes and basic repairs on a bus.

"What counts for our customers is competent advice and fast, professional service. With the MAN ServiceQualityAward we are ensuring that our customers' requirements are met in full“, said Lars Essmann, Senior Vice President After Sales at MAN Truck & Bus AG, at the awards ceremony. "Since the award was launched in 2010 about 2,800 service employees have passed through the demanding selection procedure and thus improved their qualifications. And our customers benefit from that too – with a highly motivated and excellently trained service team throughout the world", he added.

The winners can look forward to a trip to Sweden next year. Registration for the MAN ServiceQualityAward 2012 will be possible from early 2012.
