MAN app provides news, videos, photos and contacts for journalists
With "MAN news" app for iOS and Android appliances, key MAN news items are now permanently available on demand, even while traveling. This new offer is aimed mainly at journalists, who can now carry out their research even faster and more easily. In addition to the latest announcements, the new app also includes detailed background information about the company.
"Time is a rare commodity, especially for journalists. So via 'MAN news‘, we are now offering interested parties a simple research facility to use while they are on the move“, says Andreas Lampersbach, Head of Corporate Communications. Each press release is, for instance, assigned directly to the right contact person at the press office, so that journalists can make telephone contact or submit an e-mail query at the touch of a button. In addition to the latest press releases, the app also offers other corporate publications, such as the most recent annual report or the customer magazine MAN Forum. It includes graphic presentations of the company´s over 250-year history, as well as the latest facts on the areas of Commercial Vehicles and Power Engineering. Information relating to management, production sites and current key figures can be found in another section. Photos of people and products, as well as references to social media services, round off the offering.
One of the app´s special highlights is its outbox. Here content can be collected and forwarded to any e-mail address once the research is finished. As a result, research can be effectively carried out while traveling and work subsequently completed in the editorial office. The memo func-tion can also prove useful, allowing users to add personal comments to many documents, which can then be moved into the outbox together with the original. This results in a complete folder of documents and relevant own thoughts in the inbox. "MAN news" is now available free of charge from the App Store and on Google Play.
