MAN Truck & Bus awards best service at IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Fair

Two workshops from Middle East are about to compete in the global final at the IAA.D

Leading manufacturer of mass transport vehicles MAN Truck & Bus will showcase its latest product offering at IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) Commercial Vehicles as well as its strong service offering and innovative after-sales solutions for the Middle East region.

The leading international trade fair for mobility, transportation and logistics will take place in Hanover, Germany, from September 20th-27th for the 64th time. The company will participate with its latest series of heavy duty construction trucks, cargo trucks and public transportation buses, in addition to showcasing its commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly commercial transportation solutions.

Coinciding with MAN’s participation in the IAA will be the awarding of the annual MAN Service Quality Award – an initiative aimed at recognising the top performing service centres across MAN’s extensive global network of around 650 participating outlets from Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The Middle East has had an impressive showing once again, with 10 regional service centres recognized for their excellence. Among about 42 competing workshops in the Region Middle East and Africa two regional centres – one in Dubai, UAE, and one in Erbil, Iraq – have made it to the global finals, an achievement that proves the high quality standard of after-sales support MAN is committed to providing its customers in the region.

The Middle East and Northern Africa currently has a service network of around 50 workshops dedicated to servicing its regional client base. The network is continuously expanding with the construction of new workshops. Only in 2013 MAN Importers in Middle East have committed to expanding their service network among others in Kuwait, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on MAN’s participation at the IAA, Rudolf Wiegand, Vice President After Sales Middle East and Africa said: “Meeting customers at the IAA always leads to more ideas on how to take our services to the next level. Based on our customers’ feedback we are now offering a broad portfolio on extended warranty services. Within this portfolio there is a huge flexibility for combining different modules up to 600,000 km or 36 months for the entire vehicle and 800,000 km or 60 months on the driveline. So we are keen on spending time with our customers to see how we can develop our services even further.”

Wiegand continued: “IAA Commercial Vehicles is one of the most widely attended international commercial trade fairs and gives us plenty of opportunity to take the pulse of the industry. We look forward to showcasing our superior range of commercial vehicles that deliver a high level of driver and passenger comfort and safety, efficient and economical fuel consumption, high performance, superior payload and on-road performance, in addition to our strong commitment to maximising our customers’ investment through superior after-sales service.”
