Panther Warehousing draws on expertise of MAN Truck & Bus UK to expand fleet and cut costs.
Delivery of 23 TGX 26.440 Efficientline2 tractor units sees MAN fleet swell to 48 MAN trucks.
Northamptonshire-based Panther Warehousing has drawn on the expertise of MAN sales executive Scott Munton as it looked to expand its fleet.
The premium white-glove delivery specialist’s primary focus is exceptional nationwide next-day or day of choice delivery from its seven depots and is the leading one-man assisted or two-man home delivery providers in the UK.
The firm is also environmentally conscious.
Scott said: “I have been working closely with Panther Warehousing for the last couple of years on how to reduce fleet costs and provide better efficiency within the current and expanding fleet.
“MAN first supplied 25 TGL7.5 tonne rigid trucks on a full repair and maintenance contract and then, with the expansion of the current fleet growing at a fast rate we then set to working on the best solutions for the articulated vehicles.
“We placed our Euro6 TGX Efficientline2 demonstrator with Panther and it quickly emerged that the increased fuel economy would save over £6,100 per unit per year – or £109,800.
“We put together a high specification truck on a competitive package, to include weekly telematics reporting and forward-facing cameras with a host of driver benefits such as MAN media system with GPs navigation and Bluetooth.
“The trucks will double-shift and with the excellent back up from the MAN dealer network in the various locations across the UK downtime will be kept to a minimum.
“MAN Truck & Bus UK is very proud to be included in Panther Warehousing’s growth.”
The vehicles supplied are MAN TGX 26.440 6x2 XLX cab with Euro6 440hp engines and semi-automatic transmission. There are full fleet telematics and forward facing cameras fitted too.
